Winthrop Haslam Shaw of Dracut,Massachusetts, died in his sleep in Vancouver, WA August 30, at age 94. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Ruth Shaw, his brother Warren Sr. and his sister Eleanor Shaw Huse.
Their son Mark Shaw of Vancouver, WA and two daughters Lorna Zurilgen of Fresno, CA and Barbara Harrison of Campbell, CA gave them nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
“Win” was born and raised at Shaw Farm in Dracut, MA and worked on the farm until his asthma forced him to move his family to California in 1949. He continued working in several dairy equipment and supply businesses until he retired in 1992. Win & Virginia traveled to Europe, Australia, England, Ireland and all over the US and Canada. In their later years, they enjoyed many antique car tours with the Horseless Carriage Club of America with their 1913 Buick.
Win and Virginia will be laid to rest with a family graveside service near Shaw Farm on Saturday October 1st 2016.
