William “Bill” Warren VanDerVeer, 78 of Napa, CA, passed away on November 4, 2020 in Vancouver, WA at Ray Hickey Hospice House. Bill was born in Napa, CA on July 18, 1942. He spent his life living his passions including running marathons, jumping from airplanes, diving, golfing, riding his Harley Davidsons and loving his family and friends. He enjoyed teaching Tai Chi to the senior’s Boulder City, NV and was an owner of Bill’s Golf Shop where he was a Certified Master Golf Club maker. He was involved in adopting and caring for animals at Lion Habitat Ranch in Henderson, NV. Bill was adventurous and strong, always looking for ways to help others and to take care of all the lives he touched. Bill is survived by his girlfriend Laurie; Daughters Tina(#1) and Nikki; Sons Johnny and Mingo; Granddaughters Melissa, Lacy, Corinna, and Sharon; Great Grandchildren Kiera, Kendrick, Kalvin, Jaxson and Noah; Sisters Sally, Joan, Gloria and Susie; lifelong Best Friend Steve and many, many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his Grandson Matthew; Mother Lillian; and Brothers Chuck and Ace. Memorial donations may be made to his son Johnny via his Mother Sharon. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Ray Hickey Hospice House and Cascadia Burial Services for helping lay him to rest peacefully and in honor of his final wishes. Due to COVID-19 there will be no Funeral service at this time but the family hopes to have a service at a later date. Bill chose to be cremated and his ashes will be spread by his girlfriend, Laurie and Daughter Nikki in the Ocean where he always wanted to be. We love you Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother, Best Friend and Boyfriend. Until we meet again, we know you are our Guardian Angel watching over us.
