Obituary of Victoria Jo-Ann Mies

Victoria Jo-Ann Mies July 28, 1965 - April 16, 2017 Our dear loved one, Vicky J. Mies, was born July 28, 1965 in Sacramento, California and went home to her Lord April 16, 2017. Vicky made her home in Kelso, WA for the past 25 years. She was a beautiful soul and touched countless lives. Vicky was a preschool teacher at Kelso Christian Academy for many years and most recently worked at Kinderland. She loved working with the little ones. She had a zest for life and loved Jesus with all of her heart and loved attending church functions and helping out. Other interests included Mariner games with her good friends, Donna, Mary, and Carolyn, IHOP adventures, trips to the beach, 80's music, and meeting friends for pizza at Fultano's and Bruno's. She will be greatly missed by her friends and church families at Kelso Christian Assembly and Valley Community Church in Sacramento. Vicky is survived by her mother, Dorothy Mies of Sacramento; her aunts and uncle, Arlene Kissinger of Vancouver, and Jerry and Mert Mies of Kelso; her best friends, Rick and Laurie Jonkman, Darrin and Rachel Jonkman, Rebecca and Josiah Bopp, and Sheila Parisena, and numerous cousins, including Shelly Cribbs and Ken Kissinger. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin, and a brother, Bill. A Celebration of Vicky's life was held Sunday, April 23rd at the Kelso Christian Assembly with Pastor Russ Jorgenson officiating.
