I was so so sorry to hear about the passing of Mike. I went to Norfolk Catholic High School with him. Remember him being so cute. I tried so hard to get him to come to our class reunions; all our classmates asked about him. But, never heard from him. I know he is at peace now. And to all his son and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, Michael.

Mike and I were in high school and college together. I remember his smile and some good times we had trying to figure out the world. Mike went to Vietnam and I did not, thankfully. I thank him for going and I know that he suffered much from that experience, like so many young men of that era. I wish I could have seen Mike in the last 10 years or so...I know we would still be friends. Mike was a good man with a big heart. My condolences to his family. Peace to Mike Batterson...

Mike was my first diving coach, and because of him I had a tremendous journey!! I feel deeply in my heart my brother Mike, never came home from his time on the Sanctuary stationed off of Viet Nam.
He never went into combat, he only saw and tried to save the lives
of what combat did to mostly kids his own age. Mike never was the same again! He and my father were the only men in the family to see war and the horror of it! Dad was a stronger person than his son Mike
and all his other sons for that matter.
I didn't see Mike but twice since he went to west coast. He had his faults like most people, He was my teacher and my friend,
I will always remember those great times, Goodbye
Mike Batterson!!!!

Ryan,
I am sorry for your loss. It's a tremendous sadness when someone so important in your life is gone. My heart goes out to you and your mom. This is not the kind of change we ever want and there is no way to prepare for it and no way to live life the same as before. Your dad will be tremendously missed. Those who love you truly care and will always be there for you.
God be with you sweetheart,
Susan Logan
