Rita was a candle that was put on the table for all to see. Nothing could hold back her light.
I knew her for such a short time, but in those times, she lit up my life. I was so looking forward to spending time with her to glean on her relationship with Jesus. When I grow up I want to be like her.
Blessings on all of you, her family. Grief sucks, but is so necessary to embrace the pain and grow some more. I'll be praying for your grief journey's in the coming days.
In Yeshua's Name. Sue Mobley

Rita Mae Bashor of Vancouver, WA
Born December 9, 1941; Died August 16, 2016
Wife of Michael Bashor
Sister of Kenneth DeFrang; Byllie Ricketts; and Ed DeFrang
Beloved Mother of Margaret Smith married to Stephen Smith; Vernon Bashor married to Jennifer Bashor; and Miki Finley married to Lee Finley
Grandmother of Abigail Garrison; Jessica LeBlanc; Sterling Smith; Judah Smith; Victoria Bashor; Benjamin Bashor; Ellie Bashor; Andrew Bashor; Cindy Fuller; Michael Finley; and William Finley
Great Grandmother of Benjamin Garrison; Jedediah Garrison; Charlotte Garrison; and Edward Finley
Rita was born in Port Angeles, Washington to the late Kenneth DeFrang & Marguerite DeFrang. She spent much of her childhood growing up on the Washington coast and loved the ocean. She had a personal encounter and became a believer in Jesus Christ when she was 16. She graduated from Port Angeles High School and went to Seattle Pacific University and then Seattle Bible College. Rita was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She went to the mission field after college and met her husband Mike. They married on June 6, 1965. They remained in ministry the whole 51 years they were married.
Rita was a mother to all. She had a heart that always put others first. As a sister, she was a best friend, confidant, and guardian. As a mom, she encompassed all that a mother could be. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They consumed her heart. She was a gift to them all.
Rita was also an exceptional friend. She made everyone feel special and counseled many as a church lay counselor and as a friend. Rita touched countless lives. It’s impossible to put into words all the amazing things that Rita accomplished. Her very identity was love and selflessness; all who came in contact with her loved her and found her unforgettable. She enriched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She is a great loss to those of us left behind, but she is a gift to heaven.
The family would like to thank all who supported them with prayers and assistance during Rita’s last few months.
The Celebration of life service was held Friday, August 19, 2016 at Bethesda Church in Vancouver, WA
