Obituary of Jason Robert Kravitz

Jason Robert Kravitz ~ 42 Vancouver, Washington June 6, 1974 ~ August 7, 2016 Jason Kravitz, our beloved husband, brother, son, and uncle, passed away unexpectedly and suddenly on August 7 at the age of 42 from heart complications. He was a successful paramedic in Clark county for many years until he was injured in an accident on his ambulance and was forced to quit doing what he loved. He was profoundly affected by many of the men and women he worked with but especially by those he helped everyday. Those closest to him knew that underneath his gruff exterior he had a generous and thoughtful heart. He was always willing to help a friend in need. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and sailing! A night out in the woods with his hammock and dog or a relaxing day on the river listening to music was his ultimate getaway! He loved sitting around a campfire with friends. Loved the smokey smell on his clothes the next day. He loved sailing his boat and loved the sound of the sails catching the wind. No matter what he did, he loved nature and always felt awed at the beauty of the earth. His greatest love though, was for his nephew, whom he called son. It filled him with joy and pride to be a part of his life. He had many dreams that were unfulfilled but he is finally free from the struggles that plagued him. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, 220 NE Hearthwood Blvd, Vancouver, on August 20 at 1:00.
