Obituary of Margarete Anna Vernon-Forsberg

Margarete Anna Vernon-Forsberg ~ 89 Woodland, Washington October 4, 1926 ~ June 16, 2016 Margarete Anna Forsberg, 89 of Woodland, passed away on June 16, 2016, at 12:32 a.m.in Woodland, Washington surrounded by her family. A funeral service has not been scheduled at this time at the request of the family. Margarete was born in Bad Freienwalde, Germany to Lina Louise Margarete Lumpe and Joseph Nolte on October 4, 1926. She survived the war and bravely held onto her faith as she made her way to America. She enjoyed travel, tulips in the spring, holiday, German traditions, as well as her children and grandchildren. She always had an open door whenever any of them needed her. Margarete is survived by five adult children, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by 1 grandchild and life partner Gordon Forsberg. Margarete was the last survivor of her immediate family. Memorial donations may be made to any childrens cancer research facility of your choice. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and CNA's at the Woodland Care facility, as well as the nurses and doctors at Legacy Hospital Salmon Creek for all the support they have provided in the past years and weeks for our Mom and family members.
