I just heard about your wife's passing. I am sorry for your loss...my step dad passed away two years ago...you know what I am just going to say I am sorry for your loss because I have no idea what you are going through and your wife Was absolutely beautiful.
People always say, "they are in a better place now." But you know what I want all my family members that I loved so much back.
I am so sorry for your loss again. God bless you and your family.

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
Lord, please bless Jason, the kids and their families through this very difficult time.

Jason,
Deepest sympathies on your loss.
We've never met but I'm a regular listener to your show. I wanted to thank you for making my days (and the days of others) more enjoyable with your stories and commentary. Your tales make those of us in the audience feel like friends/family and I appreciate that.
If we can be of any assistance just give the word.
Thank you again and may God be there in your times of need,
Dave

The Portland sports community is shocked and saddened by this loss. Like many in your listening audience, we feel closer to you and your family than reality probably dictates, so this feels like the passing of a friend who rides in our carpool. Our deepest condolences go to you and your family.

So when I was listening yesterday to primetime on the 4th of May which was Sukes return to the show, it broke my heart when he told us all about his wife passing. Let me preface this with saying I'm a 26 year old homeless kid who tunes in to 1080 the fan daily for more than just sports. It's therapeutic to me because it's the one time of day where I don't have to think about losing my mother and grandmother a year apart in 2006-2007. Big Suke has dealt with SO much pain in the past few years that I just wish there was something I could do to be of some help. I know exactly what it's like to be motherless WAY too young and those 3 beautiful kids are Gona need all the support in the world to get through this. I just wanna say I love ya man and even though we haven't met, I hope one day I can intern for you guys just so I get to meet such and awesome dad/man. Thanks for helping me get through the tough times. Now it's time for you to receive some help. 8-). Max Slade.

Dear Suke,
I'm sure there is a dynamic to the radio-listener relationship I don't understand, but please accept my words as sincere when I say it felt like an old friend suffered a terrible loss when you spoke on the air yesterday. you bring a lot of joy and smiles to me so often, I wish there was a way to return the favor in times like this. Despite all the laughs you bring, your biggest imprint on my life may be your strength, values and dedication to living your life the best you can through these times. I held my wife a little closer and longer last night, and I'll tune in again today to appreciate your bravery and fortitude while regaining your grip on the day to day. I'll probably never meet you, but I believe I speak for many listeners when I write that you have more friends than you'll ever know out here who appreciate and respect who for you are and what you stand for. We got your back big guy. God bless your children and may each day bring you the strength to face tomorrow.

Big Suke,
I had wondered where you had been and when I tuned in today I heard what you had said about your wife passing away. Total shock and dismay. I have met you a couple times and you are a very pleasant and kind person. I have been listening to you and Isaac since the inception of the show. Both of you bring and lot of joy and laughter to my life and I sincerely appreciate it. I just can't imagine what you are going through. I am just heart sick. I am so, so, so, so, so very sorry for the loss you and your children are enduring. May your grit, faith, family, love, friends and time carry you through this most difficult of times. I am proud of you and inspired by your strength both for yourself and your kids.
Yours Truly,
Corky Stout

Tuned in little late today to find of your loss, my heart weeps, as well as my eyes for you and your family. My aunt gave me some advice when my father passed 11 years ago, she said it's ok to talk to them. One year and five days ago I lost my girlfriend of 16 years to cancer. I cry every day, and talk to her. We do what we have to do to get by. Small tiny tiny tiny words my not mean anything right now. Hang in there, lean on whatever it takes, symbolism will be unforgettable. My best. Chris.
