Martin Eugene “Gene” Jackson, age 94, of Vancouver, WA passed away January 21, 2016, with his family at his side.
Martin was born November 9, 1921, in the township of Richland, Missouri to Russell Lafayette and Iva Ida (Hines) Jackson. The family moved several times until eventually settling in Tyler, WA. Martin married the love of his life, Joanne Graham in August of 1950 and moved to Spokane, WA where their daughter Karen was born. They lived in Spokane for twenty-five years. Later they built a home in Medical Lake, WA where they resided until 2010. Martin and his brother Harold owned and operated R & M Exterminators during that time. In 2010 Martin and Joanne moved to Vancouver, WA to be near family.
Martin is survived by his wife Joanne, daughter Karen Fluaitt (Robert) Vancouver, WA; granddaughter Amanda Norris (Luke) Camas, WA; grandson Christian Fluaitt (Lindsey),Spokane, WA; great grandchildren Nathaniel and Jackson Norris, Avery Hudson and Thor Fluaitt, brother Harold Jackson (Helen), Cheney, WA; and sisters Dorothy Abbott (Dean), Green Acres, WA; and Deloris Chambliss (Carroll) Nashville, TN.
A memorial service will be held in Spokane, WA at a later date.
