Janet Louise Tyler ~ 74
Vancouver, Washington
July 19, 1941 ~ January 5, 2016
Janet (Jan to most) lived from birth thru high school in Manzanita, OR then moved to Portland after graduation. She stayed in the Portland, Vancouver area her entire life. She was proceeded in death by her brother David Bennett, father Waldo Bennett, and mother Berneice Bennett. Survivors include her daughters Kim Ingram (Charlie) of Eagle Creek OR, and Terri Masser (Rick) of Amboy, WA and her grandkids, Nicholas and Christina Ingram and Madeline and Casey Masser.
Jan enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flowers and plants, decorating her yard with rocks, sea shells, statuary, bird baths, and wind chimes. She took great pride in her landscaping and would spent hours, planning, organizing and re-arranging until it was just right. When health issues caused her to spent more time indoors than out, she would open the window and put peanuts on the window sill for the squirrels to take. They would come right up and have a snack. To Jan, every day was a good day, the warm sunny days were just a little bit better.
She is also survived by a loving group of friends and neighbors who kept an eye on her, and who were there to help whenever needed. For that we thank you all.
At her request there will be no service.
