Obituary of Barbara Lynn Fullman

Barbara Lynn Fullman ~ 60 Vancouver, Washington January 30, 1955 ~ December 17, 2015 Barbara Lynn Fullman, age 60, passed away from cancer on Dec. 17, 2015, at PeaceHealth Southwest, in Vancouver, WA surrounded by family. Memorial service will be held at Evergreen Bible Church in Vancouver, WA on January 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Toby Beck officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Tillamook, OR. Barbara was born in Washington D.C. to Robert E. and Clara Mae Olson on January 30, 1955. She graduated from Reynolds High School in 1973. She earned two AA degrees in Finance and a Bachelor degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. During her lifetime she lived in Washington D.C., California, Oregon, Washington, Spain, and the Cayman Islands. She worked in the finance field in several schools including Warner Pacific College, Mt. Hood Community College, Gresham-Barlow School District and for the Cayman Island Government. She was most proud of her later work with adults with disabilities and children with special needs, counseling families with special needs children, and helping provide post adoption resources with various companies including Vantech, Children’s Center, and Post Adoption Resource Center. She taught classes for families of children affected by drugs and alcohol called “Parenting Your Porcupine”. Barbara enjoyed teaching Sunday school classes, singing in the church choir, raising guide dog puppies, cross country skiing, hiking, horseback riding, square and round dancing, knitting, crocheting and other crafts. Barbara is survived by her husband Randall Fullman of Vancouver; daughter Christi Hryciw (Jeff) of Damascus, OR; son Stefan Heitzman (Rebecca) of Crescent, OR; daughter Alyssa Fullman (Cheyenne) of Vancouver, WA; son Caleb Fullman (Amanda Lackey) of Beaverton, OR; two sisters Nanette Chapman of Canby, OR and Marlene Fowler (Chuck) of Winlock, WA and one brother Brian Vincent (Lori) of Laurel, MT; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 63 foster children including 1 foster daughter, Lorna Allen, who lives in the Cayman Islands She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Olson.
