JUDY JOY (JOSLIN) HERKERT
July 3, 1961 ~ December 17, 2014
Judy passed away peacefully in her home after a tough battle with cancer.
Judy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend; survived by her husband, Ray; children, Paul of Vancouver, Washington and Vanessa of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Diane Patience of Chicago, Illinois, Laura Rea of Menlo Park, California, Alice Pickett of Irvine, California, Nancy Overhauser of Sonoma, California and Betsy Allen of Leucadia, California; and brother, Peter Joslin of Durango, Colorado.
She was an active member of the Vancouver community through her many years teaching in the Vancouver School District, most recently at Columbia River High School She was passionate about teaching and was supportive of all her students.
She adored her family and friends, and loved spending her free time exercising, gardening, and was always up to trying new things.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 22 at 10 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Vancouver.
