Obituary of Melinda Myrleen Johnson

Melinda Myrleen Johnson May 24th 1951-October 1st 2022 Melinda or “Putsi” as her closest friends and family knew her, was Born May 24th 1951 to Robert Theodore Johnson & Viola Loretta Johnson (Swigart) in Los Angeles CA. Melinda was the youngest of three children and was the only girl and apple of her dad’s eye. She had two older brother’s that preceded her in death Lawrence Britton Johnson “Spike” and Jeffery Lynn Johnson “Spud”. Melinda was a kind, loving, and free spirit who had an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up a room. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be remembered by all that knew her. She lived her life to the fullest and loved whole heartedly. She had a passion for gardening and there wasn’t anything she couldn’t nurture and make grow. She was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed making comfort food for her family and friends. Melinda was a generous soul that would give you her last dollar if it was what you needed without hesitation, and was always a listening ear to all that knew her. Melinda leaves behind two children Jessica “Jess” Miller and Britton “Britt” Bright, two nieces Katie Taylor and Lara Meiojas, along with three grandchildren Kyle Francis, Ruben McCann, and Bryce McCann. She will be missed dearly by us all and is now dancing free in the sky.
