Obituary of Paul Douglas Breeding

Paul Douglas Breeding Vancouver, Washington February 21, 1932 - March 04, 2022 Paul Douglas Breeding, 90, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 4,2022 at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital. Paul was born in Bremerton, WA, to Merlin and Myrtle (Compeau) Breeding, February 21,1932. He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1951. He entered the Navy in 1952 and served 4 years. Paul attended the University of Washington and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree in 1961. Paul marred Betty Meacham, his high school sweetheart on August 7,1954. They were married 55 years until her passing in 2009. They have 3 daughters. He began his career as a Civil Engineer in Seattle, WA, in 1961 with the Amy Corps of Engineers. In 1974 he transferred to Anchorage, Alaska where he finished his career. He retired in 1993 with 40 years of Service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in both Washington and Alaska and bird hunting with his Labrador retrievers. Paul is survived by his 3 daughters, Lorna Domschot (Jim), Lynn Stephens (Randy) and Lisa Scannell (Roger). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Richard, Rhiannon, Krystal, Abby (Greg), Russell (Bonnie), Zackary and Duncan and 2 great-grandsons, Rhys and Ricky. He is survived by his brother Phillip (Sharon) and sister Lynda (Dan). He was preceded in death by his wife Betty and his parents. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and doctors at Legacy Hospital for their superior and compassionate care and support.
