Michael David Stewart, 71, of Vancouver WA. was born on November 10th 1950 and passed away on February 14th, 2022. Michael left behind his beloved wife, Loretta of 43 years, his 3 children Justin, Emily and Chase as well as 4 grandchildren Hayden, Paisley, Charley and Macey. He also left behind his two ornery dogs, Growler and DewDew.
Michael was born in Olympia Washington but grew up in northern California. He moved to Coeur D’ Alene Idaho and then to Vancouver WA in his twenties. Thats where he spent most of his career in the meat industry working as a butcher, meat cutter, manager and director of district and regional sales for Swift, Monfort beef, John Morrell and Hill meats. Michael was a people person and loved the social aspect of all his jobs, making many lifelong friends along the way. He was named employee of the year and achieved multiple awards, while traveling for work all over the country.
In his free time, he loved fishing, cooking, golfing, bbqs and spending his time with family. Having regular nightly family dinners was most important to him. Michael was a smart, fun loving, and caring father and grandfather who loved his family more than anything else.
Michael is remembered for his sweet demeanor, sense of humor and sharp wit that was intact till the end.
Family is holding a private celebration of life in Medford Oregon to honor him.
