James Allen Cook ~ 74 Westport, Washington December 23, 1940 ~ September 2, 2015 James Allen Cook, 74, of Westport, WA, born December 23, 1940, passed away September 2nd, 2015 in Vancouver, WA. He was preceded in death by his biological parents, Harry Walker and Marion Walker, who lost her life giving him his first breath of many. His adoptive parents, Lee and Marie Cook, who took him into their lives and taught him how to be a man. His eldest daughter, Rosalind and her young daughter, 3 yrs., who were killed in an accident on their way to meet him. His beloved ex-wife, Bonnie J. Cook, mother to 3 of his daughters. He is survived by one sister, Gracie, four daughters, Tina Loveless of Vancouver, WA, Kellie Cook of Grand Forks, ND, Terrie Cook-Book of Flint, MI, Rhonda Klingler of Bremerton, WA. and one son, Jason Cook of Tacoma, WA. Our Father left 17 grandchildren, including Tessa Kearney, who was with him when he passed, 12 great-grandchildren and two on the way. He will be dearly missed by all. If I was asked to sum up the meaning of his life and his contributions, I would say that my Father lived and loved to the fullist. He was gentle, kind and loyal. A steadfast rock in a tremulous sea. I remember his smile and the sound of his voice, him teaching me football and me, telling my friends how he looks "just like Clint Eastwood, with dark hair", I would say. I never heard a harsh word come out of his mouth. He loved his wives, his children and his dogs. We loved him.
