Obituary of James Alden Griener

Obituary for James Alden Griener I knew I had fallen in love with a good man when James paid for an elderly lady's groceries. He was always thinking and acting to help and save people and all living things. James never wanted anything in rel:urn. He would say pass it forward. James Alden Griener passed away June 18th 2021 from ALS at age 76. James grew up in a ranching community in Adel Oregon, about 28 miles East of Lakeview Oregon. As a child he attended a one room school house in Adel, graduated from Lakeview High School, and the University Of Oregon in Eugene. James loved entertaining and put on plays in Adel. In high school he played trombone in both the Marching and Jazz bands. In the U of 0 he studied acting and went on USO tours in Europe with the acting group. This lead to studying Mime in France and returning to the United States to perform for a year on Broadway in New York. James loved and leaves behind a life partner of 48 years (Paul Harris), a brother and sister in law (John and Barbara Griener), niece and her husband (Sandy and Mike Taylor), great niece and nephew (Anne and Zachary Anderson), great, great nieces and nephew (Kaya, Flen and Odie Lauer), and lots of cousins and wonderful friends. James will be remembered for his kind heart and caring spirit. At this time due to the Corona virus, there will not be a memorial service.
