Charles Richard Jones, 73, passed away early Sunday, May 2nd, 2021 at SW PeaceHealth. Beloved husband and best friend of Louise (Ferrington) Jones. Brother of Donald Jones. Faithful father to Neely, Casey and Elizabeth (Zabel) Jones. Proud “Pop” of Claire and Cora Jones. He will also be missed by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was born December 3, 1947 to the late Russell and Billie Jean (Bass) Jones in Emmett, Idaho. He was a graduate of Centennial High School in Gresham, OR and became a U.S. Navy Veteran. He met Louise in the summer of 1972. They married on January 11, 1973 and raised their boys in Clackamas, OR. He retired as an operating engineer for Fred Meyer.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, and being with his family. He will be missed for his quiet strength, his varied knowledge and experiences; exceptional care and comforting hugs for his wife, best friendship with his sons, tenderness towards his favorite daughter-in-law, humor and sweetness with his grandgirls, and most of all, his priceless presence.
