Obituary of Jo-Anna Mary Dirk

Jo-Anna Mary Dirk Vancouver, Washington November 2, 1944 ~ March 20, 2021 JoAnna Mary Dirk (Novotny) 76 years old of Vancouver , Washington passed away on 03/20/21 in Vancouver. Jo-Anna was born in Hawley ,PA to Florence and Joseph Novonty on 11-02-1944. She went on to get her cosmetology license and trained with the Wella corporation on the east coast. She moved to the west coast continuing her education to become a master colorists. She was always continuing her education even when she traveled the world. She was a successful business owner for 28 years. She was active in the community with Hillsdale business association, Portlandia, Paul Mitchell Company. She was active in volunteering with Meals in the park, Dress for success, and provided hair cuts to the homeless. Over the years she raced snowmobiles, and corvettes. She liked to white water rafting and camping and spending time with her family. Jo-Anna is survived by her brother Milton (Lynne ) Novotny, children Lynn-Jo (Jeff) Dirk, Jo-Anna R Smith, Grandchildren Stephanie (Jared ) Green, Brittany (Kevin) Sigmund, Paige (Matthew) Long, and 4 great grandchildren. Jo-Anna is preceded in death by her parents Florence and Joseph Novotny. The Family wishes to extend their gratitude to Peace Health Hospice and the Ray Hickey Hospice House. There will be no service. Cascadia Crematory and Funeral will be handling the arrangements.
