Poh Aun "Jason" Aw 1957 - 2020 Poh Aun “Jason” Aw, 63 returned to his heavenly home on December 16, 2020. Jason was born on October 25, 1957 in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. He spent his childhood and early adult life in Malaysia, immigrating the United States and settling in Vancouver, Washington in 1996. Jason will forever be remembered for his ambitious ideas; his caring and generous heart; his devoted and diligent work and respect for God. Jason loved languages. He was fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and Fuzhou) as well as Malay language. Most recently he had learned some basic Spanish. Jason took pride in his business. He had earned respect and love as a communicative, empathetic, reliable and resilient business owner among his employees and business associates. His employees became more like family than employees. He would often help them out whenever they needed a helping hand. His nickname was “Daddy” from some of them. Jason was married to his loving wife, Kwee Yong Wong “Carine”, for 34 years. She was always charmed by his charming smiles, funny jokes, loving embraces and unconditional love. Jason and Carine enjoyed traveling and seeing the country and the world. Annually for the last 20 years he would plan a trip for him and his loving wife Carine to go visit new places. They took many road trips driving from coast to coast, visiting national parks and stopping in large cities and small towns along the way. There were cruises to Alaska, Canada and the Bahamas. Even a trip to Europe. Occasionally, to his delight and pleasure, the family from overseas would join them on their travels. A favorite quote of Jason’s was “If life permits, I would like to visit all the popular travel destinations whenever I can!” In addition to traveling, Jason loved cars. He loved cars so much so that he would get a different one every couple of years. He also loved noodles and durian fruit and felt satisfied when there were noodles on his plate. Jason is survived by his loving and devoted wife Carine. He comes from a large family and will be missed by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. At this time with social distancing measures in place there is not a public service planned.
