Marilyn M. Cooper Vancouver, Washington February 3, 1941 ~ August 21, 2020 Marilyn M Cooper It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Cooper announce her sudden passing on Friday August 21st, 2020 at the age of 79. Mrs. Cooper passed away with her family by her side at her home in Vancouver, WA. She was born February 3, 1941, in Seattle, WA to George and Gwen (Warren) Steele and grew up and attended school in Bellevue, WA. After marrying the love of her life, Richard Cooper, they enjoyed life with their family while living in Skamania, WA, Batavia, IL and Portland, OR before settling in Vancouver, WA. She enjoyed collecting and selling antiques and running rummage and estate sales. For 11 years she was the director of Portland's well-known Catlin Gabel School Rummage Sale. She also enjoyed vacationing with her family in Hawaii which she happily did many times throughout her life. Mrs. Cooper is survived by her loving and devoted husband Richard, son Greg (Lisa) Cooper, daughter Becky (Mike) Sims and her two treasured grandchildren, Holly and Zachary all of Vancouver, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Gwen Steele and grandmother Lillian Warren. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
