Obituary of Lowell W. Johnson

Lowell W. Johnson Vancouver, Washington September 9, 1948 ~ August 20, 2020 Lowell W Johnson passed away with his family by his side on August 20, 2020. Lowell was born in Superior, WI on September 9, 1948 to Carroll and Phyllis Johnson of Poplar, WI. Growing up, Lowell was involved in The Boy Scouts of America and achieved the highly respected rank of Eagle Scout. His love of camping continued throughout his life. Lowell fell in love with Barbara Johnson of Wheaton, IL where they were later married on August 22, 1970. Lowell and Barbara would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary this year. His work, mostly in the grain industry, took him to several different states and eventually they settled in Vancouver, WA. Lowell was a man with a strong faith and a deep love for family. He loved his time camping with Barb, fixing cars with his sons and watching baseball/softball. In recent years much of his time was spent traveling to support his grandchildren at their sporting events. He was happy and proud to enjoy watching the next generation play the game he loved so much. He is preceded in death by his father, Carroll Johnson, his mother, Phyllis Johnson, and brother, Loren Johnson. He is Survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, son, David (Celeste) Johnson of Portland, OR, daughter Cathy (Mike) Evans of Decatur, GA, and son, Mark (Patty) Johnson of Vancouver, WA. Grandchildren, Madison and Jayce of Vancouver, WA, Connor and Jacob of Decatur, GA. Siblings Karen (David) Joslin of Raleigh, NC, Brian (Linda) Johnson of Sparks, NV and Brenda (David) Toth of Aitkin, MN, sister-in-law, Delores Johnson of New Braunfels, TX and many nieces and nephews.
