I am so sad to learn of the loss of my cousin Bobby.
I met Bobby in July of 2013 while vacationing with my husband Bill Hearn, our children Dan, Faye, and Mason, and my dad Joseph P. Miezejeski.
We were all in the car looking for lodging with the help of Aunty Vicki Miezejeski when she said, "Your cousin Bobby lives right there."
I hit the brakes and veered into the driveway and Bobby looked up startled by the abrupt appearance of an unfamiliar minivan.
I quickly walked over to him and explained that I was his Uncle Joe's daughter Dianne. His eyes softened as he gently pulled me into a bear hug, he said "You look like him."
We visited for a while and enjoyed lemonade on the deck. Bobby and his wife Joy graciously invited us to dinner the next night. Dinner was absolutely delicious - this I clearly remember! And I remember feeling at home with Bobby and Joy.
Later I commented to my dad that Bobby was a kind, gentle person, and my dad replied with a sad smile, "He's exactly like brother Paul was." My dad had told me the story of his brother Paul, Bobby's dad, tragically dying at a young age in a logging accident.
I am grateful that I was able to meet Bobby and spend meaningful time with him and Joy. I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person. My deepest sympathies to Joy, Bobby's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
