Robert was born on August 20, 1948 in Norwalk, California to Leon & Lena Smith.
He grew up and attended school in the Norwalk area.
Robert enjoyed playing chess and walking.
He was a devoted husband to Ruth, his wife of 41 years.
He is survived by His lovely wife Ruth, his sister Tina Troutt and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sam & Audrey Silverman.
