Obituary of Morgan Leroy Avery Sr.

Morgan Leroy Avery Sr. Vancouver, Washington February 22, 1939 ~ February 8, 2020 On Saturday, February 8, 2020, Morgan Leroy Avery Sr., passed away at the age of 80. Morgan was born on February 22, 1939 in La Center, Washington to Don Avery Sr. and Vivienne (Wilson) Avery. He graduated from La Center High School, was a Navy Veteran and went on to retire from Burlington Northern Railroad after 33 years of service. After retiring, Morgan purchased a condo in Florida where he enjoyed spending the cooler months in the sunshine near his sisters. Morgan was known for his love of Mopar's, he enjoyed working on cars, telling stories and collecting old bottles. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents Don Avery Sr. and Vivienne (Wilson) Avery. Brothers, Gene Avery Sr. and Don Avery Jr. He is survived by three sons, Randy Avery of North Carolina, Morgan (Nicci) Avery Jr. of Vancouver, Roddy Avery of Longview, two daughters, Ann Marie (Steven) Plinck of Longview, Lenci (Chris) Larranaga of Battle Ground, 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Skeet Avery of Normandy Park, WA, Kevin (Sylvia) Avery of New Port Richey, FL, 3 sisters, Barbara Mallender of Clearwater, FL, Janet (Ed) Miller of Dunedin, GL, Gardis (Raul) Ytuarte of Fairborn, OH and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
