I miss Susan’s posts on Facebook of flowers, woodworking, old barns and churches, inspirational and spiritual quotes, sayings and some of the most beautiful scenery that one can witness.
We become good friends in the last year, or so.
I hope to see Susan and Beth when my time comes.
My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to all family and friends.

My mom was a caring lady for all of her life. She helped many, many people during her time. Her and Beth, my younger sister, are together in heaven now. Mom see you and Beth there one day. Take care and we love you.

Born in Texas, Susan eventually moved to southern Oregon with her mother Lucille and brother Don Falkenhagen. Susan attended high school in Eagle Point, OR. She married and raised 3 children, working as a nurse in hospitals across America, from Medford, OR to Las Vegas, NV to Colorado Springs, CO to Tallahassee, FL, finally settling for good back in Oregon in the Portland area in 1977. Susan worked at Kaiser before becoming a franchise owner-operator of a 7-11 store in southeast Portland for many years. She resided in Gresham, OR since 2004 after selling the store. Susan was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Beth Ann Jackson. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Hickman and her son Steven Hickman, both in Vancouver, WA and a nephew Jack Falkenhagen and niece Christine Ferrand, both in Sacramento, CA. Susan was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed dancing and traveling abroad. My mother-in-law Susan warmly welcomed me into her family in 1989 after I met and later married her daughter Amanda. We love you Mom and will miss you terribly. -Neal Sherry
