March 28, 1940 ~ June 2, 2019

Jess E Branstetter, 79, of Washougal, WA, passed away June 2, 2019.  He was born in Eureka, KS on March 28, 1940.  “Buck” grew up in Camas, WA and later moved to Montana where he lived for 20+ years.  He then moved back in 2017 to live with his step-son Dennis.

Buck served with the National Guard.

He will be remembered for his suborn and joking personality, his love of hunting, fishing and bowling and his bowl of M&M’s that his grandkids often got their hands in. Buck was not one to show much affection but he always returned a hug or an “I love you” and he enjoyed having his family together.

He is loved by his kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great grandkids and is missed greatly.

Buck is survived by his daughter, Konnie Waleske of Vancouver, WA; step-sons John Morgan of Benton City, WA and Dennis Morgan, Sr of Washougal, WA; daughter, Kathy Wainwright of Butte, MT; 9 grandchildren, Meranda Rowe, Michelle Morgan, Krystal Barnett, Dennis Morgan, Jr, Terry Basnett, Debra Swafford, Bo Morgan, RyAnn Morgan and Corina Morgan and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Branstetter; son, Jess Branstetter, Jr; father, Merle Branstetter; mother, Dessie Rodgers; and his two brothers and a sister.

A memorial service will be held at Camas/Washougal Wildlife Club, 811 SE Leadbetter Rd, Camas, WA 98607 on Sunday June 30, 2019 at 3:00PM.
