Carol and I have been friends for many years. I was with her in Elko, Nevada when she met Steve and my husband, Don & I stood up with them when they got married in Reno. Those are the times of fun and joy we will remember when thinking of Steve. I think he was a little worried because Carol & I are so close, but I think he soon found out she was totally devoted to him & their relationship. My dear friend, I can not say that we could possibly miss him as much as you do or know how you feel. that would be impossible. But I know your hurting and I can't take this hurt away, I can only be here to reassure you at bad times and let you know I am holding you close to my heart and my arms are around you.

This still doesn't feel real to me, I miss you so much and it breaks my heart to know I will never hear your laugh again. You were and will continue to be such a huge part of my life and the lives of my children, your grandchildren, who love you so very much. Thank you for always accepting me and loving me unconditionally and being the father to me that my real dad was never able to be.. You are loved by so many and we will continue to remember you and all the good times. Sometimes the memories will make us cry and sometimes we will laugh, but you'll always live on in our hearts! We love you Steve!

Steve was a wonderful friend and we will miss him very much!
He always had a smile on his face, a positive attitude and a kind heart.
He never hesitated to lend a hand or share advice.
We enjoyed spending time with Steve and Carol whenever we could get together.
Our lives are better having known Steve!
Our hearts go out to Carol and the family during this time of sorrow.
Alone but never alone with thoughts of you in our hearts forever.

Carol, I am very sorry to hear about your loss, don't hesitate to reach out to me at any time. I hope that you can find peace during this time by knowing that you are surrounded by friends and family who are here for you with hugs and healing energy.
I hope that I am as blessed in my life with my husband as you were with yours, you two had a rare and unique relationship that few couples attain.

I still can't believe this is all real! I will always remember you and our most recent adventure treking thru the Olympic game farm the weekend before the liver transplant & all went so horribly wrong. Mom getting chased by the big turkey & you feeding the little baby deer. I'm glad I have that video! As I write this thru teary eyes I will miss all the talks we are never going have, the trips we were going to go on! I'll miss your wonderful smile & sense of humor. From the first moment I met Steve there was an instant connection! He was a wonderful man, so kind hearted & soft spoken. Always had a positive spin for every situation! He was so good for my mom. He brought so much love & joy into her life. He also introduced us to his wonderful other stepchildren that have now become a big part of my family, For this & all the memories I will love you forever Steve! You hold a special place in my heart! You were taken from us way to soon but you are an Angel in Heaven looking down on us!
