42 years to make an impact on the world. And what an impact indeed.

SSgt Nathaniel Allen Muller is survived by his son Tylor Burns-Muller, and daughter Ava Muller, also his mother Patricia Welch, Sister Sarah Muller Richardson and Sister Samantha Muller-Barner and Grandmother Nancy Herron.

Nate had a big heart. He cared for those around him and he was an excellent leader. His soldiers looked to him with high regard. He was in the Army collectively over 18 years, although at the end he did not want to leave. He wanted just one more deployment.

Of the deployments SSgt Muller participated in, he earned a Bronze Star, ARCOM for Valor, Navy Unit Commendation amongst several other medals, awards and citations. And with all that he was recognized for, he also began to struggle with PTSD. A life altering process that took over.

Nate was the life of the party anywhere you went. He was social able, outgoing, and could draw people in. He was loved and looked up to, brandishing a sly smile most of the time. His hard work and training showed. When the demons took over, you could still see the real Nate through the shadows. He fought hard to overcome them.

It is with honor and respect that he should be remembered and regarded. A short life that had the opportunity to meet, touch and influence so many. He is loved and missed dearly.
