Joseph Michael Shivetts
Vancouver, Washington
February 8, 1951 ~ August 13, 2018
Joseph "Mikki" Michael Shivetts passed away in peace at home on Monday, August 13, 2018 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on February 8, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Joseph E. and Catherine L. Shivetts.
Mikki is survived by his loving son, Christopher, his beloved granddaughter, Layne and his loving daughter, Savannah who cared for him until passing. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Joseph D. (Sandra Lou) Clark of Randolph, NJ., Mrs. David R. (Susan Marie) Rihel of Clinton, PA., and Mrs. Donald (Stacey Lee) Ruckh of Pickerington, OH. Further, he is survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A proud United States Navy Veteran, Joesph was the example of the saying "Once a soldier, always a soldier." But, to say this man was more than just a soldier is the understatement of a lifetime. Joseph changed the lives of many of those around him with his knowledge, compassion and love. He will forever be in our hearts.
