George D. Chaphe
December 10, 1928 - February 23, 2018
George David Chaphe passed away Friday, February 23, 2018. He was 89 years old. Dave was a UCLA Alumni and Korean War Veteran. He is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Sally Fort Chaphe, and his son, Bradford David Chaffee. He is survived by son Dewey Chaffee, Daughters-In-Law Laura Chaffee and Caren Chaffee, as well as his Granddaughter Laura Nicole Chaffee. Dave was born in St Louis, MO and then moved with his mother Elsie Chaphe to LA, CA. He attended LA High School and UCLA. He served in the US Army as a Field Artillery officer during the Korean War. He then worked in international industrial sales until his retirement in 1994. He and Sally then moved to Hot Springs Village, AR. He only recently moved to the Vancouver area to be near his son Dewey, daughter-in-law Laura, and granddaughter Laura Nicole. He will be interred in Pleasanton, CA at a near future date.
