Obituary of Clifford Lee Nelms
Clifford Lee Nelms, passed away due to complications following a head injury and illness on January 25, 2018 in Vancouver, Washington at the age of 60.
Cliff is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen, and children Kelsey (Heather) Nelms and Elise (Beau) Holland; grandsons Jackson and Gavin; siblings, Toni (Chris) Hernandez and Cindy (Dennis) Nelms; and father, Dale, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Christine and brother Kris.
Cliff was born on June 10, 1957 in Castro Valley, California to Dale and Christine Nelms. He graduated from American High School in 1975. In 1979 he married Helen Brans in Dallas, Texas, before moving back to California to start a family and begin a career as a graphic art salesman. In 1994 he moved with his family to Vancouver, Washington to be closer to his parents, where he remained until his death. Cliff enjoyed spending time outdoors, reading sci-fi novels, and watching the Seattle Seahawks. He will be remembered as a loving and supportive father, husband and grandfather.
A celebration of Cliff's life will be held at a later date when friends and family can come together to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
