Cousin Jason was very special to our family and will be greatly missed. Frannie and Francis (my Mom & Dad) took him under their wings at an early age and they bonded very quickly. At McKee Reunions Jason was a frequent visitor to Frannie and Francis's little RV. Jason always called Dad "Kendall" because of their military backgrounds. Mom and Dad would cherish the times they would get to see Jason and Jessica and boys at their home in Tacoma. Jason and family came up a couple times to visit Mom at the Chateau after Dad's passing, and Jason even gave Mom a manicure. He was very sensitive and caring about his elders and often volunteered in nursing homes because he was on disability for his back pain. The last time I saw Jason was when I accompanied him to a wounded warriors banquet in Tacoma. I believe Jason was one of those wounded warriors, because he suffered so much from an injury he had in the Navy. Jason, you were indeed a hero, and we'll miss you terribly. Love, Mary

We loved Jason like he was our own son. I even let him drive my 4X4 Ram on the beach at a family reunion before he had a license. Jason loved that! My folks, his Aunt Frannie and Uncle Francis Kendall loved him like a grandson too! I'll bet Jason is talking their ears off in heaven as I type this....Our prayers go out for Jessica and the boys for healed hearts. Jason, you will be missed!

Winters Family,
Words cannot express how truly saddened I am at hearing of Jason's passing. I thought so much of him. He was truly a great shipmate and friend. He was awesome at his job, whether at the Helm or in the supply shack, Jason was always willing to go above and beyond to help out a Shipmate. His integrity and strength set him apart from the average Submariner and his loyalty was absolute. I will miss him. Please tell his sons what a true hero their father was!
May the Lord ease your pain and give you peace in this most difficult time.

My condolences to the entire Winters Family. Jason was a loyal friend and even better Shipmate. I am honored to have served with him onboard the Honolulu. His loss will be felt through out the community he volunteered for and I'm sure he will be missed. I will never forget his stories and love of spicy food.. Lol. Rest your Oars shipmate.. we have the watch.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Jason will be missed for a number of reasons. Enjoyed the times we spent at sea and grateful for the shares after I retired. Gone far to soon. So proud of his pride and joy - - his kids. He wanted us to know how well he had done and he often shared those cherished moments with them. May God continue to keep you in his tender care.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Jason, at Young's funeral home. He was our crematory operator. He was one of the most hard working people I have ever met. I know his boys were his pride and joy, in life. My heart goes out to them.
Rest in peace Jason. !!!
