Shannon (Bennett) Schwinler Russo

Shannon Schwinler Russo, 63, passed away Saturday, December 16th after a brief illness. Shannon was born in Medford, Oregon on January 15th, 1954 to Earl and JoAnn Bennett. In 1974 she married her first love, Neil Schwinler, in Vancouver, WA where they would live and raise their two children, Angela and David. Shannon and Neil were married for 38 years until his death in 2012. Shannon was lucky enough to find love again and married Tom Russo in 2014. She will be remembered by those who love her as a woman who laughed out loud often and loved her family fiercely. In recent years, when not traveling, she could be found taking in live music at local hangouts, chatting and dancing, always surrounded by loving friends.

Shannon was preceded in death by her mother JoAnn and husband Neil. Shannon is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Angela and son David, her father Earl, her sisters Beverly (Del) Lamproe and Terri (Dean) Risling, brother-in-law Ron Schwinler, nieces Christine (Ryan) Bonesteele, Sophia Bennett, Shalyn Bennett, Katherine (Gustavo) Aguayo, and nephew Eli Schwinler.

A Celebration of Life will be held in January 2018. In lieu of flowers, Shannon’s family instead request that you pour yourself a drink and raise a glass to her memory.
