Henry Robert Jacobs, 92 of Yacolt, Washington passed away on October 12, 2017 at Vancouver, Washington. Henry was born on February 10, 1925 at Venus, Nebraska to Martha (Miller) and Henry Robert Jacobs. Henry was the first generation born here to immigrant parents.
Henry was a school teacher, teaching English, until he entered the US Marine Corp. He served proudly and was awarded a Purple Heart. After being honorably discharged from the service Henry went into construction.
It was through his love of horses that he met a special veterinarian, Edna. He and Edna were married in October of 1957. Together they raided, bred and trained horses. This lifetime love of animals provided for many unusual pets throughout the years.
Henry is survived by his daughter, Michele Haynes and son, LeRoy McCutchan and granddaughters Allison, Monica, Christina, Val, Erin, Amanda & Alisha; grandson, Lee and brother, James. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna in 2008.
