Obituary of Nina Millard

Nina Millard passed away peacefully at home shortly after being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in Battle Ground, WA on September 14, 2017 at the young age of 47, eight days shy of her 48th birthday.

Nina is survived by her Husband M. Guy Millard; Daughter Courtney D. Millard; Son Taylor D. Millard; Sister Renee A. Bertucci; Mother, Susan L. Samorano.
Nina was born on September 22, 1969 in San Rafael, CA to Susan and Fred Mauroni. In 1993, the couple welcomed the birth of their daughter, Courtney D. Millard into their home and in 1995 they welcomed the birth of their son, Taylor D. Millard.  She married M. Guy Millard, the love of her life, on October 1, 1995.  Nina is a very loving, kind, and giving person with an infectious smile. After moving to Battle Ground, WA in 2003, Nina and Guy began working as school bus drivers for the Battle Ground School District and have made an impact on all students from kindergarten through high school. Nina had a very soft demeanor about her, and she was that person that once you meet, you fall in love with her. She was a very gentle and kind person with a contagious laugh and smile.
Nina was passionate for her family and often put them before her own needs. She was a dedicated individual who loved her family fiercely and was passionate about being involved in her children’s lives. She was an active and dedicated member of the Lewisville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
A memorial is scheduled for Sunday September 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 33209 NE Lewisville Hwy, Battle Ground, Washington 98604.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nina’s life. Nina was the pillar of health up until she had flu like symptoms for about a week, and 24 hours after going to urgent care they were told of her diagnosis of AML. Nina died 11 days later peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, children, and sister.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the family who are struggling with all of the unexpected expenses, due to Nina’s sudden death.
