We just found out yesterday about George's passing. We have fond memories of George. He was wonderful with our children and he loved them. The last time I spoke with George, he mentioned that he still cherished my son's baseball card from Little League. He remembered the time I french braided my daughter's hair and said she was the cutest thing he'd ever seen.
He called here because he had read about Mark's retirement from PG&E. We talked with him several times. He was coaching Little League. He said he might come out this way, but, sadly, that never happened.
He had a wonderful sense of humor. I remember when he told me he wanted to be an umpire so he could kick players out of the game. And he used to tease me that the gnats were out because I showed up to the game.
And, what a hitter! Home runs came easy for him. Could have had something to do with the fact that he played Semi-Pro baseball.
Rest in peace, friend. You are missed by many.

Rip Uncle George, you weren't that many years older than your nieces and nephew, but you gave us all someone to look up to and admire. I remember out at the ball park and your buddies would tease you about all of us. It was sad that we all lost touch, wish it hadn't been, but l hope you had a great life in Washington and may God's love embrace you and give you eternal peace. You will always be special to me. Thanks for all the wonderful memories l have of growing up Wolger.

So sorry for your loss. I have and will hold dear for ever, many childhood memories of you with all of your nieces and nephews! You, out at the ballpark, and us singing the Georgie porgie song. Being looked in the basement on Cerritos, by you. Spending the night out back with you and all the guys, until you told me there were "shooting stars", and l went running upstairs to bed with gramma and grampa, afraid of being shot by those shooting stars (l was five mind you). We all looked up to you and loved you, it was special having an uncle not to much older than us! Thank you for all the fun memories and for being the uncle everyone wanted, but we had. RIP Uncle George!! God Bless You!!!
