Obituary of June R Frederick
June Renee Frederick, 91, has peacefully passed away on June 4, 2017 at the Vancouver Community Hospice Care Center of renal failure and natural causes. She lived a long full life beginning in the South in Bluefield, West Virginia; born on September 10, 1925. Schooling took place away at Fairfax Hall, Virginia. At the age of nineteen, she and her best friend ventured to New York City during the 40's. Then off to the state of California in the late 40's/early 50's. She met her first husband, Donald Kenneth Nelson (of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota) and married in Long Beach, California, with three children and a happy life in the 50's. Don's work took the family to Cape Canaveral (then called Cape Kennedy), Florida and the early days of Rocket and Space Exploration. Don passed away too soon at the early age of 42. June and children made the trek back across the states to California in the late 60's. In the 70's she met second husband, Marc Frederick (of Quebec, Canada). They later retired to Battle Ground, Washington. Marc passed away in 2005.
She is survived by her three children, Sandra Nelson, Kristina Tischmacher (Wesley, husband) and Richard Nelson; two grandchildren, Holly Tischmacher , Jesse Tischmacher and one great grandchild, Rylan Tischmacher.
June has traveled the world and lived a beautiful life. Her final three years were spent at the Quarry Independent Senior Living, living an independent and rewarding life until she needed her rest. She was active in bridge groups, Newcomer's club and sorority, Beta Sigma Phi up until recently. Always a southern belle through and through, she was dressed and made up impeccably before ever stepping out the door.
