Obituary of Chanta Reed
Please share a memory of Chanta to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Chanta Reed, born October 4, 1962, in Vancouver, Washington, to Shirley and Curtis, passed away on April 6, 2025. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister.
Chanta, affectionately called "Momma" by her children and "Eema" by some of her grandchildren, had a wonderful sense of humor. If anyone called and mispronounced her name as "CHANT-TA," she knew right away it was a solicitor on the line!
She is survived by her husband, Michael, three daughters—Tawnya, Luella, and Jonni—and nine grandchildren. Chanta loved watching her grandkids play sports, and her laughter was infectious; she would laugh so hard that tears rolled down her face, often causing everyone around her to join in. She was the family's unwavering support, always ready to mend any problem and offer solace to those facing life's challenges.
Join us for a celebration of her life on May 10, 2025, at Hope Church. Time is TBA We’ll share stories, laughter, and joy in honor of a truly special woman. Rest in peace, Chanta Reed. You will be missed.
