We were so saddened to hear of our dear friend, Ted's, passing. We shared many good times together in CT when Ted was working there. He and I played in the Greenwich Symphony and in chamber music groups. We skied with him in Berkshire East. He was an awesome skier! He also was an important person at our wedding in 1974. That found him in the choir loft performing solo works during the church service and afterwards performing in a string quartet at the reception! A brilliant man who when eating out with us would be writing scientific formulas on his napkin! Such a loss for his wife and his whole family. He will be remembered very fondly in this small part of CT. Deborah and Werner Graser, Fairfield, CT

Helen, you have been on my mind for days now and I just tried calling you. Some inkling told me to search Ted’s name and I saw this very recent news. Both of our beloved husbands now gone from this earth and good friends that they were, optical engineers both, likely together in the vastness of that glorious open field of stars. I will think of them that way, Mitch the younger going on to explore 7 years before Ted but both of them laughing and talking about the beauty of the universe once again. Love to you, Wendy

Wendy, this is Ted's daughter, Lauren. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Mitch and Arielle on a skiing trip with my Dad many years ago. What a kind and generous person your husband was! Arielle & I got on quite well, please give her my best. I will share your note with Helen and make sure you two can connect. Be well and thanks for your lovely words here.
